I stand in both shock and awe, but mainly shock
Shock Treatment, the 1981 follow up to The Rocky Horror Picture Show, is a better film than its predecessor, that I can thoroughly recommend to any fans of the genre. I was, needless to say, shocked.
I assumed it would be a cash in, but was actually a much better written, shot and paced musical film. Ironically, by being much better film, it lacks the low budget campery of its prequel, therefore not attracting the same crowd as it, therefore being a less popular film as a direct result of being better. It’s like Ed Wood directed Plan 10 from Outer Space half-way competently.
