Now, this pisses me off, because this man clearly does not understand Christianity, and yet he’s cashing in on taking the piss out of it. I have my own issues with the religion, but they are borne of 5 years-ish of studying the Bible, going to church, prayer groups, etc. This guy has so many things wrong with his argument that I cannot find it amusing. AND it pisses me off that if he’d done the same aboiut Islam, there would have been an outcry, but because it’s Christianity it’s ok, it’s amusement.
I know the guy’s dead, so I will stop slagging him off now. But I had to say my piece.
Ok, Ok, Ok, firstly, or perhaps lastly, the reason he can say it about Christianity and not about Islam, is clearly because the man is Christian. Culturally. As a product of Christian civilisation, of course he has every right to criticise it. Why shouldn’t he? It belongs to him, just as much as it belongs to you. He just happens not to believe it.
Secondly he seems to have a very good working understanding of Christianity, as practised by Roman Catholics. It seems to be a very effective denouncment of a Christian God.
